Post arrival counselling and support.
- We recognise the fact
that as an international student studying in a new country, many of you
especially if this is your first time to live away from home, you will need some
time to adjust to your new environment you are now living without the comfort of
your own home, which you have been so familiar with. You will need strong focus
and self-discipline to organise you new "independent" study life without the
close support of your parents or friends. How are you going to organise your
daily meals? Open a bank account; apply for a tax file number, connecting your
mobile phone, get around in the city with various types of transportations, etc.
We recognise that sometime you may need some guidance, advise and support to
make these decisions. We therefore welcome you to keep in touch with us at any
time to discuss your problems and concerns so that you can feel comfortable and
relax and enjoy your 'independent' student life in a new country such as
Australia.
- We will try our best to assist you to make this period of your study life the most beneficial and memorable one to you.
